SEL Professional Development

With a network of experienced trainers across the country Lions Quest offers SEL professional development workshops targeted to the role each staff member plays in the implementation of the program.

  • Lions Quest trainers meet the highest standards for SEL professional development.

  • All trainers have earned advanced degrees in education or a related field.

Possible workshops may include:

  • Lions Quest Workshop to train teachers and teacher assistants in program implementation.

  • Lions Quest Workshop to train lead implementation coaches in the use of the Lions Quest Implementation & Leadership Toolkit.

  • Lions Quest Workshop to train support staff in best practices for supporting the creation of positive school climates.

  • Lions Quest Workshop to train administrators and principals in best practices for supporting and strengthening SEL skill development and Lions Quest implementation.

  • Training of Trainers (TOT): Lions Quest may conduct a three-day or four-day Training of Trainers workshop. The TOT engages participants in a comprehensive, multi-day learning process that builds the knowledge and skills required to effectively train educators within their school district to deliver the evidence-based Lions Quest SEL program.

Live Virtual Workshop

The Lions Quest Virtual Workshop is designed to provide implementers support in the development of the social and emotional competence of students in grades Pre-K-12 through the Lions Quest program. Each workshop is 2 ½ hours with a maximum attendance of 40.

The webinar provides a high-level overview of the program resources and includes three breakout sessions for collaboration.

FAQs

Training is not required but is recommended, especially for schoolwide or larger implementations.

Besides the staff who will be directly facilitating the program other staff members who will support the program are welcome to attend, including: administrators and principals, implementation coaches, teacher’s assistants, etc.

There are no additional fees. It is a flat rate, one-time fee.

The biggest differences between the 1-Day and 2-Day Workshop is the opportunity for deeper engagement with the curriculum and the option for an additional module, covering either Service-Learning, Prevention, Introduction to Mindfulness, Schoolwide SEL, or Anti-bullying.

Lions Quest can conduct a three-day Training of Trainers workshop for up to three participants; additional participants can be added at your request.
