Character Education & Life Skills
Lions Quest K-12 programs are recognized by the Character Education Partnership (CEP), a leading non-partisan coalition of groups dedicated to character and civic education, as “scientifically supported programs that can improve school climates and positively impact the development and learning of students.”
- Create a relationship-centered learning community that respects all learners, develops their character, and helps them succeed,
- Set high expectations for appropriate behavior throughout the school,
- Teach and reinforce core ethical values, such as trustworthiness, responsibility, kindness, honesty, integrity, courage, and service, within the school curriculum
- Cultivate critical thinking and the positive expression of feelings and behavior
- Involve and prepare administrators, staff, families, and community members in supporting the development of capable, healthy young people of strong character
- Identify and develop positive character traits throughout the curriculum,
- Acknowledges positive social behaviors among students
- Promote school wide character education through school wide themes, events, and initiatives that engage the entire school-community,
- Foster moral action among students through service-learning
