Regional Workshops

Lions Quest offers Regional workshops for our Skills for Growing (grades K-5) and Skills for Adolescence (grades 6-8) programs, or a combination of both–called a Combination or K-8 workshop. Regional workshops are “open” workshops sponsored by the Lions Quest program in different areas of the country, selected on the basis of the level of interest expressed by schools in the respective region. These workshops are open to all interested teachers or school administrators. Local Lions clubs can sometimes provide financial support for teachers interested in attending a workshop. Lions Quest determines the workshop site and date that appears most convenient for participants, and assumes responsibility for recruiting and registering additional participants. At least 3 weeks prior to the workshop, all registered participants are provided with a description of the workshop, including an agenda, times, attire, and the requirements for participation. Participants, or the school or Lions club that may be sponsoring them, are responsible for ground transportation and any overnight accommodations that may be necessary. Regional workshops are ideal for districts that have limited numbers of teachers that need to be trained. Regional workshops can have between 12 and 36 participants. Other facts about regional workshops include:

Regional workshop pricing is as follows:

$500 per person

$450 per person if registered within 4+ weeks prior to workshop date

$450 per person for 4+ people if registered within 4 weeks prior to workshop date

$425 per person for 4+ people if registered 4+ weeks prior to workshop date

Lions Quest also offers a Regional-by-Request workshop, which is similar to a Regional workshop, in that the logistics are the responsibility of Lions Quest and the participants receive a curriculum set with 25 student books after certification- the caveat is that the school or district requesting the workshop, must provide a minimum of 12 participants.
