Contract/Sponsored Workshops

Lions Quest offers contract, or sponsored, workshops for all three Lions Quest programs- Skills for Growing (grades K-5), Skills for Adolescence (grade 6-8) and Skills for Action (grades 9-12).

Contract workshops can also be a K-8 combination workshop (Skills for Growing and Skills for Adolescence). Contract workshops allow you, the sponsor, to choose the date and location that is most convenient for you and represents an affordable and flexible way to train up to 36 people in one workshop. Many schools or districts use locally sponsored workshops as an opportunity to involve more people--- Principals and other Administrators, Teachers, Counselors, School Staff, Parents, Lion Club members, and other community volunteers, in the planning and use of Lions Quest programs. Workshops can be funded through your school or district's staff development budget, since they are professional training sessions, which can provide participants with continuing education credit. Or, several funding sources can be combined, such as the proceeds from a Lions Clubs fund-raising event, a Lions Foundation grant, and/or the district/school staff development budget, as well as school building funds.

A Contract workshop can be offered in a 2- or 3-day module. Contracts for this type of workshop should be submitted at least 6 weeks prior to your desired workshop date. A $500 cancellation fee will be charged to workshop sponsors for workshops cancelled after the contract for that workshop has been received.

Contract workshop pricing in the continental US is as follows:

For each additional participant, there will be an assessed cost of $120 for the curriculum. Total workshop costs, including base price, plus assessments for additional participants, will not exceed $6,500 for a 2-day workshop or $7,500 for a 3-day workshop, excluding any additional shipping and handling costs resulting from late registrants.

There is a minimum of 12 participants and a maximum of 36 for each contract workshop, which research has shown is the optimal range for an effective workshop. The workshop fee includes:
